Karma is the puppy we chose to keep from Ember's litter (she was Miss Yellow). She is such a fun dog! We joke about how she has big feelings, typically of delight and joy about even simple things. She is always ready to go into zoomie mode. Karma loves people and believes strongly that the shortest route is always a straight line, even if it means crashing through bushes or climbing over and jumping off the back of the couch. She loves to be in the middle of whatever is going on, ideally in the lap of whoever seems to be the center of attention.
Karma is more of a snuggler than Ember and also more independent. Her independence has helped her learn the art of trailing, and she is a great asset to our Search and Rescue team. Trailing is a complicated task and requires not only a good nose but also intense concentration as she finds and follows the trail of the person she has been asked to find. This training has been the focus for us and her quick learning and excitement for the task has allowed us to reach deployable status when she was only 20 months old.
